- Worsted Weight Yarn
- We Are Knitters “The Petite Wool” in Natural and Spotted Beige (~12.5 yards used)
- H (5.00mm) crochet hook
- I (5.5mm) crochet hook
- Yarn/Darning needle
- Scissors
- Tape Measurer

Abbreviations
- ch – chain
- st/sts – stitch(es)
- R1:- row 1
- ( ) – repeat this group of stitches
- sl st – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- sk- skip
Blanca Coaster Pattern Example
R2: Ch 1, sc in first st, sk next st, 3 sc in next st, (sk next 2 sts, 3 sc in next st ) 3 times, (when two sts left) sk next st, sc in last st, turn. {14 sts}
Chain 1, single crochet into the first stitch, skip the next stitch, place 3 single crochet into the next stitch, (skip the next 2 stitches, place 3 single crochet into the next stitch) – do the sequence in parenthesis 3 times, when two stitches left, skip the next stitch and single crochet into the last stitch. Turn the piece.
Notes
If using cotton yarn for the pattern, increase the hook size to a J/6mm.
Chain 1 is not considered a stitch. Work your first single crochet into the first stitch of the row.
The coaster measures 4 x4. No need for a gauge swatch. I do recommend blocking the coasters to keep them flat and looking crisp.
If your coaster is too small, increase the hook size.
If your coaster is too big, decrease the hook size.

Feel free to move up to an I/5.5mm hook or loosely slip stitch with the hook you're using.

These stitches look a bit odd. Go under two loops of each stitch.

Onto the odd stitches again, go under 2 loops of each stitch.

Make a seamless join.
