Cozy Cabin Pumpkin Pattern Example

Make a single crochet in the first and last stitch of the row.
Make a single crochet and half double crochet in the half double crochet of the previous row.
Skip the single crochet of the previous row.
Chain stitch in the beginning of the row does not count as the first stitch.
Cluster stitch – single crochet and half double crochet in same stitch.

Bulky Yarn
Gauge in 4 inch square (Using an H hook)
8 cluster sts / 11 rows

Worsted Yarn
Gauge in 4 inch square (Using an E hook)
10 cluster sts plus 2 sc / 15 rows

Worsted Weight Pumpkin: ~2 inches tall
Bulky Pumpkin: ~3 inches tall

PUMPKIN PANEL

  • Bulky yarn use an H hook.
  • Worsted weight yarn use an E hook.
  • Make a slipknot and Chain 23
  • R1: Working into the back bumps of the chain
  • sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, *(sc, hdc) in next ch, sk next ch, repeat from * until 2 sts remain, sk next ch, sc in last ch {22 sts}
  • R2: Ch 1, turn. sc in first st, *(sc, hdc) in next st, sk next st, repeat from * until 2 sts remain, sk next st, sc in last st {22 sts}
  • R3-29: Repeat Row 2
