Easy Crochet Ear Warmer~ The Twila Turban Free Crochet Pattern

Learn How to make an Easy Crochet Ear Warmer With this Beginner Friendly Free Crochet Pattern.

With winter in full swing, that means that we, as makers, need to be in full on make-all-the-things-super-quick mode! Am I right?!

So whether you are making finished items for your Etsy Shop, market prepping or looking for a quick & cute item to whip up for gift giving, I have the perfect pattern for you!

The Chunky Earwarmer is probably one of the easiest beginner friendly headbands that you can make! All you need to know is Half Double Crochet, its really that simple.

So lets get down to the pattern:

What you will need

Size N (10.0 mm) Hook

Yarn Needle

Abbreviations Used

CH- Chain

ST- Stitch

BLO- Back Loop Only

HDC- Half Double Crochet

I made this headband to fit an Adult size 22”-23” but I will tell you how to modify the size at the end.

Easy Crochet Ear Warmer Pattern

Row 1: FHDC 38. CH 2, Turn. (38)

*If you are uncomfortable with FHDC, feel free to CH 40, HDC in the 3rd CH and in each ST.*

Row 2: HDC in the BLO in each ST across. CH 2, Turn. (38)

Row 3-6: Repeat Row 2

Finish Off, leaving a long tail to sew headband together.

Now here comes the twist part!

Lay your rectangle in front of you and fold the right side up. This creates the twist.

Then fold the headband in half, so that your short ends are touching.

Using your yarn needle, sew the two short ends together.

Tuck in those ends, attach a label if you would like and enjoy your new favorite EarWarmer.

To adjust the size, simply FHDC or CH the number of stitches to fit around your head.

For a child size 20”-21”

Row 1: FHDC 34. CH 2, Turn.

Rows 2-5: HDC in BLO across. CH 2, Turn.

Finish off. Twist the headband and sew the ends together!
