• Due to the nature of working in the round, the back where you seamless join can be a bit noticeable. I like to line the backs of all three pieces together before I add the twine for hanging.

  • Cut about 15 inches of chiffon ribbon or yarn.

Watch the step-by-step video tutorial for the ornament hanger.

  • Attach both ends of the ribbon/yarn into a yarn needle.
  • Insert the yarn needle through the top of the small trees magic circle (from outside - in).
  • Pull both ends of the ribbon/yarn through. If it's to hard to pull both ends through at the same time, pull one end at a time.
  • Before continuing, place your crochet hook into the loop that you have on top (the hanger loop) so the loop stays secure as you continue.
  • Insert the yarn needle through the top of the medium tree then the large tree, pull both ends of ribbon/yarn through.
  • Make a knot with the ribbon/yarn ends and try to have the knot end at the border of your large tree. When you're done with the knot, pull it up so it rests on the inside of the large tree.
  • If you're going to be selling or gifting these trees, it would be best to put a dab of fabric glue on the inside of the large tree to keep the knot in place. You can also put a dab of glue on the first two rounds before placing the tree layers on top of each other.
