Make a slipknot and chain 4

R1: Starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 sts

Rotate your work 180 degrees, sc in next 3 sts in the front loops of the chain {6 sts}

R2: (inc, sc) 3 times {9 sts}

R3: sc in next 9 sts {9 sts}

Fasten off and leave a long tail. Sew the beak shut and set aside until assembly.
