Using color green
R1: 6 sc into a magic circle {6 sts}
R2: (inc) 6 times {12 sts}
R3: (inc, sc) 6 times {18 sts}
R4: (inc, sc in next 2 sts) 6 times {24 sts}
R5: (inc, sc in next 3 sts) 6 times {30 sts}
R6: sc blo in next 30 sts {30 sts}
R7: sc in next 30 sts {30 sts}
Color change to black
R8-9: sc in next 30 sts {30 sts}
Color change to green
R10-12: sc in next 30 sts {30 sts}
If you plan to sew on the buckle, pause here and attach it between R8 and R9.
Change color to yellow
R13-18: sc in next 30 sts {30 sts}
R19: (dec, sc in next 3 sts) 6 times {24 sts}
R20: (dec, sc in next 2 sts) 6 times {18 sts}
R21: (dec, sc) 6 times {12 sts}
R22: (dec) 6 times {6 sts}
Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew the piece closed. Weave in the tail and cut off the excess yarn.
Roll and tuck the piece until you reach R14.
Glue the buckle in place over R8 and R9 and pin to dry.
Fill with gift cards, candy canes, or small treats for holiday gifting.
