Insert your hook at the back of the body. I like to choose a stitch just a bit off center.

Attach a piece of the main color yarn and chain 21.

Make a hdc in the 2nd chain from the hook, hdc in next 19 sts (20 sts}

Attach the tail with a slip stitch to the body.

Weave in all yarn.

Optional: Grab a piece of black yarn and embroider an X under the tail for fun!

To Make Whiskers

Watch the step-by-step video tutorial for the whiskers.

Cut a long piece of black worsted weight yarn. Unravel the yarn and use two strands.

Weave both ends of the yarn through a yarn needle.

Weave your needle up through a stitch of the cheek.

Pull the yarn through the stitch stopping halfway. You’ll have a large loop on one side and loose yarn on the other.

Insert the loose end of the yarn through the loop.

Tighten the yarn at the base of the head.

Repeat on the other side.

When you have all the hair attached, trim as needed.

You're all done!
