Simple Crochet Heart Pattern Essentials
Supplies
- Worsted (4) Weight Yarn (small amount needed)
- E/4 (3.50mm) crochet hook (Feel free to use F hook as well)
- Yarn/Darning needle
- Scissors
- Glue Gun
- Optional (paper clips, bobby pins, barrettes. (Dollar Tree is a great place to get these)

Simple Crochet Heart Full Pattern
HEART

Leaving a long tail, make a slipknot and chain 2
All stitches will be worked in the same stitch - 2nd chain from the hook.

In the 2nd chain from the hook, make 3 dc

2 hdc in same st

dc in same st

Cut the working yarn and pull the yarn through (no need to fasten off).

Grab the starting yarn and pull it tightly closed (it may still have a hole in the middle, but we'll fix that).

Place your yarn needle into the piece of yarn you just cut. Weave it into the back of the heart.

Place your yarn needle into the other piece of yarn, pull tight and then weave that piece into the back of the heart. You can knot these two pieces of yarn together in the back of the heart.

Cut off any excess yarn.

Using a glue gun, add your bow to a paper clip to make a pretty bookmark.
You can make two hearts and glue the paper clip between the two hearts. It makes a thick bookmark with two pretty sides!
