Make a slipknot (leaving a long tail)

Chain 13

Row 1: starting in the second chain from the hook (3sc, sl st) 6 times {24 sts}

Fasten off leaving an extra long tail.

Wrap the curly piece into a spiral. Place a few pins to keep it in place.

Insert one of the fastened off pieces of yarn through a yarn/darning needle. Weave the yarn back and forth to secure the flower. Do the same with the other fastened off piece of yarn.

Tie a double knot at the back when you're done.

Set aside until assembly.
