• Chain 1, turn. Fold the short sides together and sl st across.
  • Leave about a 24 inch tail and fasten off.
  • Turn the pumpkin inside out.
  • Using the yarn tail, make a running stitch along the top of the pumpkin.
  • Cinch the running stitch closed.
  • Stuff the pumpkin.
  • Thread the needle up through the pumpkin.
  • Make another running stitch along the other side of the pumpkin.
  • Cinch the running stitch closed.
  • Insert the yarn needle down the top reaching through to the bottom of the pumpkin - go a bit off center.

    Make sure to leave a big enough hole for your stick stem.

  • Re-insert your needle through the bottom and pull through to the top again.
  • Pull taut to bring the middle together. Move over a bit and repeat - doing this a few times. This will give the pumpkin some shape.
  • Make a knot on the bottom of the pumpkin to secure and finish off by weaving in the yarn.
  • Glue a cinnamon stick into the middle hole of the pumpkin.
  • Add a fun leaf accent.
  • Display or gift your pumpkin!
