Kitty Jewelry Holder is crocheted in worsted weight yarn and is approximately 2 inches tall including top of the ear (1.5 inches to top of cup). - Skinny Chenille By Loops & Threads (~17 yards/8 grams) (feel free to use any worsted)
- Long piece of black or pink Embroidery floss
- G (4.0mm) crochet hook
- Two 10mm plastic safety eyes (Not recommended for children under 3 years old)
- Embroidery needle
- Yarn/Darning needle

If a line is written with a single “inc”, “dec” or “sc” – make one single crochet increase, decrease, or single crochet into one stitch only.
(inc, sc) 6 times {18 sts}
(2 single crochets in one stitch, then single crochet in the next stitch) – repeat that sequence a total of 6 times for a total of 18 stitches
(dec, sc in next 2 sts) 6 times {18 sts}

R1: sc in the 2nd chain from hook, sc in next 5 ch sts

Working down the other side of the chain

We’re working in continuous rounds. Place a stitch marker and continue to crochet into next stitch.

R2: (inc, sc) 6 times {18 sts}

R7 we’re making the ears. Using stitch markers, mark the back loops only of the 4th and 8th stitch before you begin crocheting.
The ears will be worked into the front loops of the two marked stitches. I suggest marking the first sc and last sc of each ear as it’s helpful for 8. Watch the step-by-step video tutorial for the ears.

Place 10mm safety eyes between R11 and R12, leaving 3 sts open between the eyes.

With pink or black thread/yarn, create a nose by embroidering a line in between the eyes between R14 and 15 for a nose.

Feel free to place a line going vertical below the nose.

Embroider three lines on each cheek to make whiskers.

R16: sc blo in next 24 sts {24 sts}

R17: (dec, sc in next 2 sts) 6 times {18 sts}

Fasten off and leave a long piece of yarn to sew the body shut.

Weave the tail to the top and pull the yarn through.

Roll and tuck in until you reach the ears.
