Make a slipknot with a long tail and chain 4

R1: sc in 2nd chain from hook, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in same st as the sc {4 sts}

R2-5: chain 4, sc in 2nd chain from hook, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st into the hole next to the slipknot

Fasten off and leave a long tail.

Tighten the yarn connected to your slipknot. Make a knot in the back to secure. Set bow aside until assembly.
